Live Culture is truly a unique culinary experience serving a broad demographic and owned and operated by good people. As a former Santa Barbara resident and now a regular Santa Barbara visitor, it is fantastic to see a restaurant experience that caters not only to the "young UCSB crowd", with their tasty selections of yogurts and their beer selection, but also one that delivers "culinary fun" to the sophisticated Santa Barbara resident, with Live Culture's carefully selected list of award-winning wines and their delicious "tapas" reflecting a modern Santa Barbara/California flair.
The "buzz" at Live Culture is energetic. Live Culture's dedication to giving local bands a chance to perform is philanthropic in nature and makes for a great date night!
I wouldn't hesitate to take my girlfriends there during a night out on the town; my 75 year old father there for a yogurt treat; nor would I hesitate to bring my husband and the rest of our family for some great wine and upbeat music.
I highly recommend Live Culture.
Sincerely, Heather

Yeah!!! Live Culture - Best new venue in a long time. This place is truly a local treasure - One of a kind, yet has something for everybody. Thank you Darin, Sierra, Daniel and Rebecca for bringing some life back to downtown Santa Barbara. Fine art, great music, exceptionally fresh and delicious food, desserts and coffees conspire with an open, inviting atmosphere to provide the backdrop for stimulating conversation and fun...We Love You! |

The new place to go in SB 4 Great food, service & ambience!, 7/30/2009 Reviewer: Juli from Santa Barbara, CA I've had two great experiences at Live Culture. My first time was on a very busy Sat. night (they had live Jazz and the place was packed). We ordered a glass of wine and an appetizer and it was delicious. Our server was pleasant and prompt (even when they were so busy, she was able to serve us very well). The 2nd time I went was mid-week, after work, for a glass of wine and appetizer...I had the grilled artichoke hearts and the antipasti plate, and they offered me tastings of their wines, so I could try something new. They have a wide selection of wines (and beer) and have live music every night. I haven't had their yogurt, but may try it next time. I'm definitely going to continue to be a patron of Live Culture. Best Local Spot!!! , 3/17/2009 Reviewer: Marina from Santa Barbara, CA I took my 18 month old daughter here for some frozen yogurt today and was blown away by how good it was. They have 8 flavors, and as a yogurt lover, this is the best yogurt I have ever had. Please support this local place instead of the big chains for yogurt and coffee. The owners are such nice people too. I can't wait to go for the wine and cheese - the wine bar looks great! Not only do they have phenomenal wine, small plates, and frozen yogurt, they serve Peet's coffee and delectable looking breakfast sandwiches and pastries. It was hard to resist the slices of chocolate cake sitting next to the cash register! This is the first time I have given a 5 star review for food AND service! |
